P A S S I F / V is a bi-monthly queer dance party which takes place in Moncton, New Brunswick. The name P A S S I F / V comes from the idea of being like a bottom but also feeling really empowered by it.
With P A S S I F / V I want to give people the opportunity to identify and present however they choose and feel safe doing so.

I feel like I've been topped by this city a lot and it hasn't always been great, but this is my way of kind of reclaiming things for myself and anyone else who feels similarly.
The hope with P A S S I F / V is to eliminate this really insecure presence of ‘masc only,’ fem shaming and stereotyping and to bring queer culture in Moncton out of the closets. I don't think a lot of people realize that queer culture has kind of its own separate identity outside the umbrella of LGBT.
I've never fit under that umbrella, and as someone who identifies more and more as something outside of that box it can be challenging to find something to relate to.
So. I want to give people the chance to hear music they won't hear anywhere else in Moncton.

For the latest installation, the theme is spring and is aptly named Power Blossoms or Flower Bottoms. It will revolve around all things floral and couture.
A marriage of visuals in the name of art, style and personal growth.
The event requests its participants wear flower and plant inspired clothing in order to create a garden of light, hope and shameless promiscuity.

The next P A S S I F / V will be at the Laundromat Expresso Bar April 16. Djs are Dan Der Son and Ba NNa Nan. No cover, starts at 10 -Dan Der Son // Via Moncton
